  • Just watch this last night loved it! Like a extra long episode if the tv show Black Mirrors

  • What do you give the God that has everything?

  • The ending threw me off a little bit because I wasn't entirely sure what the ending meant. Spoiler alert, but I guess by scrolling down the comment section you are already aware of that. This is my 2 cents on the ending. From what we could see from all the random flashbacks of his father's death throughout the whole film, we can imagine that Nicholas is clearly affected by his father's death. He is emotionally traumatized to this day. As his brother, Conrad wanted Nicholas to understand why their father committed suicide, why he left them. And so, he was put through a Game of inconceivable traumatic events that left him totally distraught at the end which culminated in him jumping off a building just like how his father died. Nicholas who I believe resented his father all this time ( as shown by the scene where he asked his housemaid what his father is like for the first time) finally understands why his father committed suicide as he was probably going through a highly painful and stressful moment in his life as well. After going through such a dramatic experience as his father did, I believe this Game gave Nicholas some sort of closure to finally put this whole matter to rest. Thanks for reading, what do you guys think?

  • Some say it's actually real you just have not noticed who's really on the tv when it's live. This is supposed to be true to targeted individuals.

  • it was amazing that he didnt know it was a game the whole time.stevie wonder coulda seen that.smh

  • A game that went too fucking far in my opinion.

  • about to watch this movie @home w/ my roommate!!!!!!!!

  • Great movie. Definitely worth a watch.

  • I swear Michael Douglas makes the greatest man-on-the-run movies!

  • The depth of David Finchers genius... Love this film.

  • Complete rip off of total recall

  • If it’s a game, did he won? More like, The Prank. lol

  • Such an under-appreciated movie. One of my top 10 films of all time

  • I am a total Movie buff and this Movie is Stellar Period. Unreal Good !

  • Only they won't ask and you won't know until it's too late.

  • I LOVE MYSTERY THRILLERS and this one was BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Spooky Mumbles some say it's actually real , try really staring into the person talking live on tv it's as if they are just waiting for you to acknowledge this.

  • The Truman Show but with guns and more suspense.

  • The ending of this movie was so horrible.

  • An allegory for a bad trip.

  • Decent movie with the most ridiculous ending imaginable. Nick could have been easily killed from his jump off the building but instead, he lands squarely on the bullseye 40 stories below? Come on! I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to what many critics of the film are calling the improbability of being able to predict Nick's every move. My guess is that CRS has contingency plans in place in the event that he did not follow the direction in which they were leading him. Maybe he did stray from the intended path and what took place was occasionally plan B or plan C. Okay, It's a movie and I can let those plot holes go but that ending was so insanely bad, it detracted from what had been a rather enjoyable hour and fifty minutes.

  • Wat a fucken twist

  • أحد افضل افلامي واااااااااااااااااااو

  • This movie is dumb

    • Santiago Ferrari you’re nothing butthurt retard who can’t listen to reason. Starwars is sci fi which is a completely different genre. This movie is fucking unrealistic. Who the fuck would put their brother through this shit? They expected him to fall and commit suicide? What the fuck? They also fucking stole from his home and left him in the middle of Mexico with nothing? He could’ve fucking died? And for what? A shitty birthday prank? Fucking retarded.

    • Santiago Ferrari I like David finches movies but this movie right is just plain dumb. I love seven, I loved gone girl, and zodiac but this right here is just plain unrealistic and had the dumbest ending ever. Yeah the fucker was drugged and left alone in Mexico but it was all just a prank bro.

  • Ok this looks REALLY good.

    • It is a good movie, implausible AF, but if you can suspend your disbelief it's very watchable.

  • This movie is dumb as hell

  • I can't believe how positive the reviews are for this film. I'm very interested now.

    • Starts out slow, but It is a good movie as the tension and suspense continue to build. It's implausible AF by the end, but if you can suspend your disbelief it's very watchable.

  • GREAT THE GAME 1997 OFFICIAL TRAILER !!!

  • Yes, amazing movie!

  • Literally just one of the best.

  • I love it when Michael Douglas catches up with that weasel guy at the Zoo, and he says 'Please.. My kids'. All part of the Game of course.

  • I thought this (hugely underrated btw) and Vanilla Sky and Face Off were excellent films but ex hubby hated them all. Note EX!

  • 👊🏼😼😼😼👌🏼🤣👌🏼🔥🤩🔥

  • And to think moviegoers were raving about Nerve - a knockoff of this gem.

  • Was Michael Douglas EVER young?!

  • At the end of the movie. You just want to start shooting people. All just a game huh, let's play dodge the bullet. It like dodge ball and try not to caught one.

  • I love his workplace your know what I mean

  • I've seen the movie 100 times, I want to read this book.... does it exist? Anyone know?

  • Was this a book?

  • very good movie

  • This is my favourite movie of all time

  • This trailer and almost every trailer now a days ruins and spoils too much of the film. especially for thrillers and mystery movies like this. great movie.

  • Here to say Just watch fucking movie, this don't need trailer just seen it, amazing

  • Very gripping and entertaining movie. Loved it. Great acting by Michael Douglas. But...incredibly impossible plot to have actors unobstructed by real life cops/people. Impossible to know someone's every actions. That's most movies for you so it doesn't matter to me. The ending was something else.

  • Don't read comments! Watch the movie first!

  • When psychosis becomes manipulation drjacquescoulardeau.blogspot.fr/ MICHAEL DOUGLAS - SEAN PENN - THE GAME - 1997 Do not try to reduce this film to only one meaning. It is obviously a film centered on the relationship between an elder son and his father when the father commits suicide in front of the child’s eyes when he is 48 and the child is about six or eight. The case is made more complex with the fact that there is a younger son who the elder son took care of as his brother, which is natural, but in a way oppressive in the absence of the father. […]

  • To sum up this film, this is the original "CHILL CHILL ITS JUST A PRANK THE CAMERA IS RIGHT THERE"

  • I want to play...

  • Amazing Movie! 😮

  • Good film, but the effects of the game aren't really shown on him. I had to read a synopsis to just be clear if I missed anything.

  • In no particular order whatsoever, because that's impossible. 1. Dawn of the Dead (1978) 2. The Shawshank Redemption (1994). 3. The Game. 4. The Thing (1982). 5. The Elephant Man (1980).

  • A heist genre straight from the 1940's. They really don't make films like this anymore. It's in my top 5 of all time, across the board.

  • One of the very best films ever made. A spellbinding thriller with Douglas at his very surreal best. Best ending I've ever seen. Harris Savides delivers the slickest cinema of his career. Rest his soul. Fincher is a genius.

  • THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CAR ATTACK WAS ALL STAGED FOR GEORGE SOROS BIRTHDAY...MUCH THE SAME AS THE GAME WAS STAGED...ALL DONE BY LIKUD HARD CORE JEW TERRORIST.

  • I love the dynamic between Nicholas and Christine, and it reminded me of how movies capture our weird fascination with catharsis and hesitation. It's not surprising so many seemingly 'perfect' Hollywood couples (e.g., Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman) end up separating!

  • If you're looking at this comment section wondering if this movie is worth the watch; trust me, for someone who was doing exactly that; watch this movie now. I'm honestly surprised how I've never heard of this movie before. This should be one of the "mind fuck" movie classics up there with Interstellar and Inception. All along the movie I was trying to predict what and where the plot line is heading and holy fuck, I couldn't. 10/10 wish I could forget the movie and "re-do it again" hahaha.

    • Thanks bro- Gonna watch it now. I too had missed this movie till then.

  • Película más carepicha! pero es muy buena

  • This is my favourite movie of all time

  • my favourite movie!

  • This is THE BEST plottwist i have ever seen!

  • good movie but so implausible after you see the ending. wish there was more to it

  • whoever the fuck he is ..I'll always call him gordon gekko

  • this is the best movie idea of all time

  • One of the best movies I've ever seen. Nobody could have replaced Michael Douglas for this film.

    • Absolutely

    • He's great in these types of films! This is my favorite M.D. flick but Falling Down and Basic Instinct are damn good as well

    • Fevernova couldn't agree more he kills this

  • ou je peux trouver le film complet en français

  • Mos deff one of all time greatest movies ever made IMHO ;)

  • reminds me of black mirror.

  • *WARNING:* DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IN THE COMMENTS IF YOU DON'T WANT THIS GREAT MOVIE RUINED FOR YOU BEFORE HAVING SEEN IT...

    • I don't know who you are, but i want to thank you so much for your comment...

    • my dad has spoiled this to me years ago and I still haven't see it :(

    • Ty

  • this movie made me want to punch my teacher in the face

  • they wasted a hundred miliion dollars on the movie aswell

  • As a whole, this was one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. However, there were just too many plot holes for me to overlook, like honestly I don't see how this is at all realistic. That being said, it is definitely worth the watch

  • Complete garbage, the most implausible thing I've ever seen, I get its a film but come on!!!

    • william roy some say it's real and you are being monitored everywhere you go you just don't know it yet but when you do you will know "it's a game".

    • Noir Wolf that's what made it so brilliant. It was the perfect chemistry and amount of fear to finish "The game"

    • i like the movie but you are right, how could they know that he would have a gun and shot at the door when they tried to enter the roof of the building? or how could they know that he would jump of the roof at the _exact_ spot where he needed to be to land safely? i could go on with the moments where _everything_ was purely based on luck for it to play out the way they wanted it to play out.

    • he unknowingly signed waivers as a participant, in the same way that you would sign something before riding a mechanical bull, except much more covert, complex, and clever.

    • No there were times when he could have easily have died nobody would have taken that risk or be given the licence to do any of that, it was completely stupid, as I said I get its a film but that was just mental.

  • i just watched this movie yesterday...the atmosphere was brilliant, sound and michael douglas acting was so good ... 10 / 10 entertaining

  • Reminds me of Nerve

  • The ending was brilliant

  • oh my lord, that was if not the best, one of the best movies i have ever seen. im still thinking about it after half hour

  • It is only a game. Why you haff to be mad.

  • Just a prank bro!

    • Jack Johnson some say it's real yes you do you know you are being monitored now do you see you must know I'm watching you " are you ready to play ,THE GAME" you'll find me in live broadcasts live television look closely and you will see I'm watching you not reading the script , go for a walk and look around . I'm waiting.

  • This movie is terrible, too many plot hole, stupid ending, lame character. I feel reget after watching this shit.

    • Because this is mindfuck movie. That how it supposed to end with a stupid ass plot

    • eric caires, infibioable made a joke to say, "you must like shitty movies, then." michael bay is known for being the worst director of all time, and he didn't direct the austin powers movie franchise, jay roach did.

    • How can you say that.

    • michael bay did not director this movie doe David Fincher did and hey not for nothing michael bay did the bad boys movies and the austen power movies as well

    • You are clearly someone who enjoys michael bay movies then

  • "It's Just a prank bro.."

    • weird a2lqomaril you have only yourself to blame, don't ever look at the comment section if you don't want spoilers

    • mengele your name is appropriate

    • weird a2lqomaril why are you in the comments fool, you know TR-tv comments are cancerous

    • Symon Alex sob u just spoilered me, duh stop saying shit about this movie dude, lot of people doesn't watch this movie yet. so be quiet !

    • Lol, I just saw it again and came here to comment the very same thing but you beat me to it.

  • I wish see this movie like a first time.. This is the best movie what i saw..

  • very well produced--beautiful aesthetic, cinematography, great director and starring actor...but a terrible, terrible movie

  • I really want to know the name of the music at 1:28

  • Nerve 2016 lol

  • Foock iam cray

  • I saw this movie before, it's amazing (the plot), especially the part of the "taxi" and the "coffin" which are interesting ideas.

  • Underrated movie such original Drama i think everyone should give it a try

  • They make your life.. Fun

  • sick movie! watch it while hi.

    • Confused tf out of me 😂

    • cody8804 You must have never smoked weed in your life. Not everyone that gets high sits around black light talking about how "far out" this or that is. A movie doesn't need psychedelic imagery or anything like that in order to be a good movie to watch when stoned. In my experience thrillers and mysteries (including this one) are some of the most enjoyable when baked. Also nothing this man said is proof he's a "real pothead" nor does getting high disqualify you from being a "normal adult"(no more than enjoying an ADULT beverage on occasion would). Get off your high horse guy, the entire world doesn't have to think and act in the same way you do

    • You must be a real pothead. Nothing about this movie is better if you’re high. It’s just a mystery thriller movie, there’s no sort of psychedelic visuals or even anything paranormal. Just be a normal adult and watch this movie sober

    • Or you know, sober so you can remember all of it.

    • okay

  • I just lost the game.

    • +Luke Schwiebert Me too.

  • One of the most underrated thrillers I've ever seen

    • Top 5 all time!!!!

    • Dimitar H. Vankov I agree

    • How's that underrated? I don't know a person of my age who haven't seen it yet. It's a classic.
